Wii will have to wait :)

Post by msaeger » Sat Nov 18, 2006 10:12 pm

Well I was going to go out Sunday and find a Wii but something came up so I wasn't going to be free. So tonight (saturday) I went to wal-mart to get one at midnight. Well they didn't have enough for everyone that was already in line. So what did I do I went to electronics and got the 360 premium pack with Viva Pinata :) .

I'll get a Wii soon but I'm just going to wait until I can walk in and buy one.

I don't know what else I will get for the 360 but what the heck. I could have sworn I saw Kameo for 20 bucks someplace but at wal-mart it was still 30.

I just have to add that this is the heaviest console I have ever bought no wonder there are heat problems this thing is dense.

Wow! That is awesome.

I am a bit surprised the Wii sold out at Walmart. They were supposed to get a very large shipment of them. I just went by my Target (at around 9:30pm) and there were only 2 people standing out there.

At any rate, that is awesome you got a 360. I just picked up Viva Pinata to play with my wife. So, I am excited to see what the game is about. If you get a live account, let me know your name. I definitely want to trade some Pinatas with ya.

I have seen Kameo for pretty cheap as well. Although the game wasn't rated extremely high, I definitely had a blast with it. It is definitely worth playing.

I went to a wal-mart in the sticks so I think that was why they got the low number they only got 20.

So far I would have to say the menus and setup part on the 360 is pretty impressive. The thing is way too loud though.

msaeger is my gamer tag (ya am I original or what) I'll have to figure out how to add it to my sig.

I can't wait till I have time to play viva Pinata. I bought it about a week ago, and still haven't unwrapped it. oy.

I thought Kameo was worth a play through, although the levels are VERY hit or miss.

I'm going to try to get a Wii tomorrow morning, but I won't be too disappointed if I can't find one, I've got way too much stuff going on, and I want to be sure to have enough time to really sink my teeth into Twilight Princess!

Anyone know what specs videos need to be in to stream to the 360 ? I know it has to be wmv and it plays just about every wmv I can find but for some reason it's won't recognize dl.tv in wmv.

It seems like it won't play anything with a resolution of 640 X 480.

DL TV works fine, but you must remove the periods from the name.

For example, here is the original file name:

dl.tv.113.wmv

Simply rename it to

dl113.wmv

and it will work fine.

That is odd, I am using Windows Media Connect as well.

The file I downloaded that worked was:

http://zdpub.vo.llnwd.net/o2/dltv/episo ... tv.113.wmv

I just renamed it to dl113.wmv and then it worked fine.
