Sprites - Modern Gameplay

I recently discovered an album called Modern Gameplay by a group called Sprites. The title track, "Modern Gameplay" is about the superiority of classic gaming over modern. He talks about how much he liked the classic Atari joystick with the single red button. It is a pretty funny song.

Doesn't that already exist as Second Life? It is basically a completely open ended multiplayer environment where people can pay for additional content.

Ever since the podcast where we pondered whether PC gaming is dead, and Chris and Woody brought up how much cheaper PC games are, I have been looking at them in the stores. They really are much cheaper, when you compare a $60 Xbox 360 game to a $30 or even $20 PC game. I have been tempted to buy som...

Oh man. That is bad. I'm sorry to hear that. At least you still have the DS, PSP, Atari, Apple II etc. It really is kind of funny that the Apple II and other old consoles still work find after 20 years, and the 360 has these problems after less than a year.

If nothing else, this game has awesome art direction. Hopefully it also has gameplay to match. This is another one I'm looking forward to.

At $40, I'll probably get one. But I hope enough games support it to make it worth having.

I've been wondering what the advantage is in having an Xbox 360 HD-DVD player vs. a standalone player, especially with no HDMI out on the 360.

Don't take it so hard, Brass . . . if you knew Chris in real life, you'd know that he is not one to hold back with criticism :-). But he has a lot of good insights into many topics. I haven't seen the game myself, so I'll wait until I know more about it.

I'm still enjoying Test Drive Unlimited. I did have the corrupted save file problem once when I first started playing. I think this was because the game auto-saves very often, even at times that wouldn't seem logical, and during one of those times I turned the power off. So be careful about that if ...
