Damn G4 blows (what's new)

G4 was never really that great but they had a couple shows that were good. Icons used to be interesting but today Tivo recorded it as a suggestion and the episode was about some actress. What happened to the videogame history.

If they want to make a show about celebrities at least name it something else.

Yeah, I read about 6 months ago that they were "changing" Icons. I guess the change is to have people on it that are barely (if at all) related to video games. Last episode was on Marc Ecko. Sigh... I really liked it when they talked about the people involved in the history of games, Ralph Baer, Richard Garriot, etc. etc.

Luckily, I have a number of the previous Icon episodes saved off. It would be cool if they made them available for download... but, I highly doubt it.

yea i watch g4 as much as u guys talked about xplay is not so great i realy like g4 i watch it to decide if im gonan rent that game or not because at the end of the day they got great reviews (in my opinion)

I remember when G4 was all about the games. Now all I see is The Man Show and Star Trek. What happend? Why does someone have to take something good and turn it into something horrible? You couldn't pay me to watch G4!

Now today Tivo recorded a show called game makers on G4 and it looks like the old icons show. Maybe they renamed the old icons gamemakers for some reason ?

The one I just watched about Warren Spector appeared to be the same as the old icons. It looks like they are re-running the old icons episodes under the new name for some reason.

I will have to start saving these who know how long G4 will run them.

Game Makers is a old show I think. They just only showed it sometimes.

Maybe I don't really know for sure but the intro is exactly the same as the old icons one with game makers in place of icons.
