Children of Men

Post by R3V3N4N7 » Sun Jan 21, 2007 10:35 pm

I just saw it tonight and have to recommend it to everyone. It's real interesting concept that all the women are infertile. Go see this movie you won't be disappointed.

Sounds very interesting and something the wife would be interested in. I just saw the trailer for the movie 300, that looks pretty interesting...

Thanks for the heads up!

I work for the company that did some of the VFX for this movie....... remember the scene where she gives birth? They used an animatronic baby when they shot the scene on set but that didn't look too good, so it was replaced by a CG baby. I thought it was nice as it was not "in your face" FX like a lot of movies. Hopefully no one knew the baby was CG.

.......... In fact, here's a still image from the shot i was talking about...... this is the CG baby. You have to see it moving in the shot to notice if it looks real or not but this gives you an idea.......
The CG baby was in a few other shots too, but this was the main one.

That is very cool! That sounds like a very fun job. Now, I must go see this movie.

I'll concur, this movie is excellent. And I'm very surprised it was a CG baby, I could not tell at all.
