It's pretty cool that they are doing this but I already have Contra.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I have noticed lots of people using devices to increase their gamer scores, this would just give them more incentive. On the other hand, Microsoft could be using this to help them weed out the people cheating. The rules state they will be watching closely, if that means more closely, or just as closely as they are now is yet to be seen.
I am kind of looking forward to trying to increase my score enough to get a free t-shirt and game though.
We will see.

I'm trying to get my GS above 5,000 before Monday so I can be in the Level 2 tier of the contest. According to the page it then bumps you to level 3, so assuming I'm successful (and assuming I get another 1,500 in the contest period) I may end up with 2 free games!
Just 85 points to go between today and tomorrow. I'm trying to get them in RoboBlitz and Test Drive Unlimited.
EDIT: Gave up on Roboblitz this morning; got the final points needed (and then some) in Viva Pinata.
