DS cracking up?

Post by raz0red » Tue Jul 18, 2006 7:09 am

A lot of people have reported that their DS Lite's are cracking in the hinge. At first I thought, another rumor that is being hyped by the internet. However, it seems a lot of people are starting to report this. Anyone here have their DS Lite crack?

treated my DS lite like a baby, heck I even used a Nintendo brand case. I called Nintendo about 3 days ago and the rep said he won't take it back because the warranty does not cover cracks and the guy said it must have been my fault and he could have it repaired for $50 (because its still under warranty). I grumbled to him and finally said I'd live with it.

Looks like G4 did their own investigation.

While I really hate what G4 has become, this is pretty funny.

I'm on my 2nd 'Phat' DS. I've never had the hinge crack, although I hate to say that both units I bought had the L buttons crap out on me. It may not seem that bad, but I have a few games I got for christmas that are impossible to play now without the L button (Brothers in Arms & Dementium).

Dementium looks interesting, I may have to check that one out...
